The following guide helps explain our cleaning method and how it works - we are aware that you may be a little surprised if your 'traditional' window cleaner is replaced one day by some chap who turns up with a strange looking pole giving no explanation as to how it works - especially when he leaves your windows dripping wet!

How it works

Squirting windows with pure water from a hose pipe attached to a telescopic pole with a brush on the end of it, may not sound like a very convincing idea for cleaning windows the first time you hear of it! (don't laugh)

The thought of using no cleaning chemicals, detergents or Fairy liquid may leave you feeling a little dubious as to what kind of results that can be achieved.

However, the fact is that when used properly the results achieved using a WFP (water fed pole) are unbeatable.

How it works - A brief guide

Purifying the water

By pumping standard tap water through a series of filtration units and RO unit (reverse osmosis) all impurities, additives and contaminants are removed leaving the water 100% pure.

This pure water is then transported in tanks in our vehicles and is ready to be used as a 'cleaning agent'.

Water fed poles and brushes

This water is then pumped up a twp (telescopic water-fed pole) to reach windows up to a height of 30 meters (6 floors).

the windows are scrubbed by a specially adapted brush fitted on the end.

After which they are given a final rinse before left to dry .

In action

This method not only cleans your windows but also cleans the surrounding frames - In effect you are getting double the service!

Using this method we are also able to clean paneling, cladding & conservatories.

Pure water - how does it clean?

Pure water is rarely found in nature this is because water has a natural tendency to absorb minerals. It is this mineral content and other impurities that leaves behind the spotting and watermarks you would notice if you washed with common tap water and left it to dry naturally.

When pure water is introduced to a dirty window, the water tries to revert back to it's impure state, in doing so it acts as a sponge absorbing the dirt from the window. After a thorough rinsing the windows are left to dry (approx 20 minutes). With no residue or impurities left behind - the results are a gleaming and streak-free finish.

Please note: If you have not had this type of service previously you will notice the difference immediately - however it takes approximately 2 - 3 regular cleans before achieving the superior results we expect. This is because we also remove the deep down dirt and grime from the frames, seals, joints, etc. which can leave behind some initial residue on the glass.

Rubbing a pane of glass with a cloth can result in smear marks visible in sunlight due to minute amounts of residue being left behind. In effect you are just moving dirt around from one spot to another while rubbing a static charge on the glass - this in turn simply attracts more dust and dirt.
